Bangalore & Karnataka’s Wedding Guidelines
- The Karnataka government has placed restrictions on marriages due to the lockdown. The state will be under full lockdown until May 24, 2021.

- In Bangalore, wedding planners must submit the invitation card along with a duly signed request or another relevant document to the relevant co-commissioner of the BBMP area (if you are in the BBMP area) or to the relevant Tahsildar in districts to obtain permission. Upon receipt of the request, 40 passes will be allocated for a wedding.
- The passes will be issued to the 40 guests and they will only be able to enter the premises where the event takes place after the presentation of the passes. The pass is not transferable. People in containment areas cannot attend the event.
- The event must take place in a public place with good natural ventilation. Weddings should not be held in air-conditioned rooms.
Kerala’s Wedding Guidelines
- Kerala is under full lockdown until May 23, 2021
- In the case of pre-fixed marriages, no more than 20 people authorized with social distancing protocol. Prior notification to the nearest police station should be given and details should be entered into the COVID 19 Jagratha portal.
- People who attend weddings must also carry an identification document and the wedding invitation. The CM urged the populace to evade long-distance journeys.
Punjab’s Wedding Guidelines
- A nighttime curfew is in effect from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- The maximum number of people allowed in a gathering is currently capped at 10. Guidance by the district has been deployed.
Chandigarh’s Wedding Guidelines
- There is a daily nighttime curfew in effect from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., indefinitely enforced at this time.
- Only 50 people will be allowed to participate in the wedding celebrations. Weddings must be celebrated with the prior authorization of the deputy magistrate concerned.

Haryana’s Wedding Guidelines
- Complete lockdown till May 24, 2021.
- The maximum limit of wedding guests allowed at a wedding ceremony is presently decided is 11 guests only.
- Weddings will only be allowed at home and in court with a maximum of 11 people. No “Barat” processional movement is allowed.
Uttar Pradesh’s Wedding Guidelines
- Daily curfew from 7 a.m.
- Weddings can only be held with just 50 guests in closed spaces. And 100 guests in open spaces with face masks, social distancing, and the use of disinfectants.
Uttarakhand’s Wedding Guidelines
- Daily curfew from 6 a.m.
- The maximum number of wedding guests allowed at a ceremony is presently decided 20 only.
- For interstate travel, vehicles will not be allowed to take more than 50% of the passengers. Throughway travelers will now have to create negative RT-PCR results under 72 hours old. And will need to register on the Dehradun administration website. Uttarakhand residents coming from abroad will be required to endure quarantine for 14 days.
Himachal Pradesh’s Wedding Guidelines
- The number of wedding guests at any wedding gathering has been limited to 20 guests only.
- A complete ban on the Dham (community feast) at weddings and other celebrations.
- The Himachal Pradesh government has decided on a three-hour relaxation of the statewide curfew to battle against COVID-19. And, District Magistrates (DMs) have declared different times to relax the curfew in their districts starting Monday. Also, all public transportation will remain suspended until new orders are placed and private vehicles will only be allowed in case of emergency services.
