Design
Both Huawei and Samsung contain amazing premium designs, providing a combination of glass and metal. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro give you more exciting options, with pearlescent colors, while the Samsung smartphones are striking too. The Huawei P30 Pro comes up with an HD+ OLED display screen while Samsung S10 Plus features a Quad HD+ AMOLED display.
Instead of one, Galaxy S10 Plus has two cameras with a punch-hole at the upper right corner. That makes the cutout a moderate bit wider and much obtrusive. Well, the final result is pretty exciting and features a beautiful widescreen that covers the whole mobile size. On the other hand, the Huawei P30 Pro has a bit larger chin at the bottom along with a tiny teardrop notch.
When talking about the backside, the P30 Pro has an edge on flash with some latest gradient colors containing the dazzling Amber Sunrise. Samsung S10 Plus is not quite as distinctive as Huawei P30 Pro but has a nice reflective allure. If you are interested, Huawei P30 Pro deals are available here.
Display/Screen
It’s not wrong If I say that Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus features the most amazing and stunning phone display. It contains a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with 3040×1440 (19.5:9) HDR10+ resolution. Why are there so many fans of Samsung smartphones because these devices are always on the top when it comes to phone displays? Samsung delivers excellent brighter displays so users can enjoy videos, games, etc. on full HD and a bright screen.
While Huawei P30 Pro delivers a 1080p AMOLED with a bit larger screen of 6.17-inch than the Galaxy S10+. Regardless of the display size, P30 Pro has 2,340 x 1,080 resolution where Samsung beats Huawei with its 3040×1440 more resolution.
The front of the screen for both devices is almost the same in design. Samsung S10 Plus has a punch-hole front selfie camera and a thin speaker slit at the edge of the screen. On the other hand, Huawei P30 Pro features a small waterdrop notch along with a front camera at the top of the display.
Huawei P30 Pro Vs Samsung S10 Plus Camera
Both Huawei and Samsung come up with a combination of five cameras. The difference is that Huawei features 4 rare cameras at the back and one front selfie camera. While Samsung S10 Plus has three camera arrangements on the back and two at the front. Both devices have wide-angle and zoom lenses on the back to give more zoom results when taking photos. To give better depth-of-field in portrait shots, Huawei offers a time-of-flight mode just below the flash.
Huawei P30 Pro includes a 40-MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a 20-MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and an 8-MP zoom lens with an f/3.4 aperture. The fourth one is the Time of Flight sensor used for more in-depth shots. The P30 Pro gives 5x optical zoom with 50x digital zoom.
On the other side, Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus features a 12-MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.5 and f/2.4, a 12-MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 16-MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. Both wide-angle and telephoto sensors contain OIS and Galaxy S10+ deliver 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom.
Battery
Well, both Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus are very similar to each other when we look at their battery capacities. There is only a 100mAh difference, Samsung is packed with 4100mAh of battery while Huawei has 4200mAh in the tank. So we can say that Huawei is the winning device in this area with a little high margin.
But after testing, it is pointed out that Samsung S10+ batteries do not last as quiet as you see from Mate 20 Pro with the same battery capacity. While Huawei P30 Pro gives you a long battery life which can last for more than a day depending on your mobile usage.
The good thing is that both offer premium flagship features which are wireless charging as well as reverse charging. Your device will charge from 0-100% within an hour and a half in both cases.
Which one should you buy?
We have reviewed and seen Samsung S10 Plus, no doubt it has some excellent and amazing features such as a triple camera setup on the back and a Dynamic AMOLED screen display. It has a larger display, more battery, more RAM and storage, and enhanced front camera functionality than the S10 model. But it isn’t recommended as a full five-star review smartphone as it could have more enhancements in its software and performance.
Samsung may have beaten P30 Pro in screen display quality but Huawei delivers outstanding zoom capabilities and these are enough for the users to love and buy this device. It has a larger battery and a bigger display than Galaxy S10 Plus. The P30 Pro also features fast and wireless charging and more camera functionality.
Both devices are amazing in their specs and features and also have the same price. So which one is right for you? Well, it can be your personal choice, If you are an old Samsung lover then definitely, you love to go with Samsung again. If you love to use Huawei, the P30 Pro can be the perfect choice for you. But P30 Pro takes the lead when you look at camera specifications. So, If you are thinking of buying a device with amazing camera results then there is a clear choice for you.
