Mike Shashevsky, a coach of Duke University’s basketball club, who has produced many NBA players, is one of his teachers, JJ Reddick and Wizards’ Bradley Beal. The latter was expressed in a phrase.
Shashevsky praised him as “the highly capable JJ Reddick” before Beal was still a star player. Beal, who received high praise from the former US head coach, was asked for comment when he appeared on the NBC Sports Washington show, revealing that Reddick was his favorite player.
“It’s an interesting comparison. I haven’t been angry because I’ve been watching JJ for a long time and I was a Duke-sized and favorite player. It’s an honor.”
Reddick is a role model for shooting guard Beals. In addition to Reddick, he also mentioned the existence of large veterans that he has referred to so far. “(Reddick) I think I’ll praise myself, but I learned a lot from him and Kyle Kober. How he does when he doesn’t have the ball, how to scatter opponents and shoot. I’m studying by watching the movements of various players. JJ is one of my favorite players.”
Just as Reddick was a model for Beal, next-generation players based on him, who is now in his heyday, must surely emerge.
The Celtics, who played against the Trail Blazers, won 128-124 with Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown both scoring more than 30 points.
As Tatum sank shots one after another in the early stages, the Celtics took the lead, wrapping up the first half with a lead of 67-48 and 19 points. The lead of around 20 points was maintained in the second half, but the pace of the match gradually leaned toward the Blazers, allowing Damien Lillard a basket count of a three-point shoot, which was a four-point play.
The unstoppable Blazers sunk five 3-point shots by Lillard and CJ McCullum, making a 15-4 run and a successful 101-98 turn. Celtics lost the lead, which had a maximum of 24 points, but it did not collapse here. After a successful reversal, Braun sunk the three-pointer that determined the game in the remaining 32 seconds, shook off the tenacious Blazers, and scored the first victory of the season restart.
Celtics commander Brad Stevens said after the match, “I had to play at the same level of energy as the playoffs at the end of the match, which was a very good experience.”
Tatum marked 34 goals for the game high and 8 assists for the career high, and successfully bounced back from the Bucks match, which ended with 5 goals. “It was important to read exactly what the opponent was doing. Be aware of the double team and play accordingly. I was able to read correctly because Jalen was open,” he said after the match.
