The Department of Home Affairs has made its motto to provide relieved and swift processing times for the Australian partner visa so that people can re-unite with their partners/spouses as early as possible. Dated 19th June 2019, the Australian Immigration Department released the visa processing times for the May 2019 applicants. Pertaining to this, it will be important to note here that although the figures released by the immigration department show the global averages for the first 75% and last 10%, in reality the applications processed in the month of May 2019 took on average a lot lesser time than those quoted in the first figures.
Partner visa applications that take considerably longer processing times may be subjected to extra review required and security/documentation checks. These may be caused either due to incomplete paper work and/or documentation, missing files, incorrect/invalid entries and also the applicant from being certain countries where added security checks need to be done.
