Life is but a split-second, be very attentive.
How long do we have? Is it enough to do everything we have been craving for? It is enough to die with the happiness of satisfaction? Life is a question that none of us has found the answer to. We spend all of our lives trying to figure out what we are here for. We do our utmost to leave behind a mark but sadly, most of us are forgotten. That’s not what we’re here for. Risks, struggles, achievements, experience, and memories are the things that give definition to life. Seneca said ‘Often a very old man has no other proof of his long life than his age.’
Scott Patrick Erwin, in his book, “Life Is Like a Fast Car’, talks about his father who had always been obsessed with cars. His father makes a trip, from Central California to Kansas in a Ford Mustang GT. The author and his 85-year old father enjoyed the time and made memories and that’s what inspired him to write a book about life and its relation to a fast car. In this book, he explains how life needs care, love, attention, focus, and skills.
Be careful
It’s natural to make mistakes but learning from them is an option. Learn from your mistakes and never let your life get off track because once it off track, it’s too much effort and hard work to get it back on track. So, isn’t it better to stay cautious and steer in the right direction from the very beginning?
Have a little fun
Life could be boring and too much boredom could leave severe effects on a person. It is imperative to look for the good things in life and run after them. It is significant to look for happiness and joy every once in a while. Everyone has something to be sad about, but the good things are what matter the most. Enjoy a little, live life a little – it’s full of surprises.
Make memories
People leave, but memories stay. Memories are important and they give color to life, doesn’t matter whether they’re good or bad. Memories are those lingering moments and emotions that take you back to the past. They help us grow as we either learn from our mistakes or smile at the good times gone by. Memories stay not only with ourselves, but with others as well, and that’s the easiest way to leave a mark on them.
Hope
Hope is a powerful thing. Hope is one of the few things that makes life better and worth living. Never stop hoping for better times because despair acts like a slow poison for the mind. There are always going to be roadblocks and barriers, but does that mean the car will never be able to cross them? No, it doesn’t. Similarly, life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, it’s a proportion of bliss and pain.
Ambitions are important
Alongside hope, ambitions are what add excitement to life. The satisfaction of achievement is always better than the hardships faced along the way. We all have goals we’ve been working hard to achieve for so long, but no matter how long it takes, turning back is never an option.
Death is life’s biggest truth and a life not lived to the fullest is a waste.
